Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common arrhythmia associated with ischemic stroke. Our research shows that stroke-reducing oral anticoagulation (OAC) therapy is less commonly prescribed in minoritized racial/ethnic groups, but the drivers of these disparities are unclear. Our team’s research seeks to detect, understand, and identify strategies to eliminate gaps in AF treatment.
