Jasmyn Tang is the clinical research coordinator for Dr. Utibe Essien’s research team at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and Greater Los Angeles (GLA) VA. She received her MPH at the University of Southern California (USC) in global health and has a background in anthropology, behavioral health, and education. Her work within the lab focuses on health equity among veteran patient populations. Outside of professional pursuits, she is currently a Crisis Intervention Counselor for the international nonprofit Crisis Text Line and enjoys watching medical and crime dramas.
