Victor Agbafe

Victor Agbafe is an MD/JD student at the university of Michigan Medical School and Yale Law School via Harvard College where he studied Government. He is interested in working at the intersection of medicine, law, and policy to improve access to healthcare.  Dr. Essien has mentored Victor through projects focused on improving access to prescription drugs and diversifying the medical workforce. Victor and Dr. Essien have previously published a perspective piece that was published in the Journal of American Medical Association titled "Diversifying the Medical Pathway in a Post-Affirmative Action World"; along with, a follow up reply piece. Victor enjoys the creative freedom and persistent push for excellence that accompanies being a mentee of Dr. Essien.
